Refuting Brennan's "We Barely Ever Even Touch Each Other" Picspam
In episode 4x10: Passenger in The Oven, Brennan wonders, "Why does everybody always think we have a sexual relationship..." followed by, "we barely ever even touch each other." Since it's so painfully clear to everyone with a set of eyes, even blind martians, that this statement is soooooo far from the truth, I decided to make an (epic) picspam to prove the always correct Dr. Brennan's assessment, completely and utterly untrue. And so, here we go (hold on, it's a long list...):
Season 1
1x03: The Man in the SUV
Our first look at our new favorite couple getting touchy feely with one another. If only Brennan hadn't turned Booth down for that next drink. A first sweet glimpse at what will be a mega long list of closeness and touching. (And while you can't see it in the caps below--it's shown slightly in the episode itself.)

1x05: The Man in the Bear
Another first: dancing. Hopefully, we're going to get a repeat in season 5, because I have a feeling that the current UST level will give the scene an entirely different feeling.

1x16: Two Bodies In the Lab
Yet again, we have another first: introducing hero!Booth and the Save-My-Partner-From-A-Killer scenario. Oh and definitely one of the top hugs in BB history.

1x19: The Man In the Morgue
Booth flies down to New Orleans when he finds out Brennan's been hurt. protective!Booth is in absolute GO mode this entire episode. Not to mention that it's completely swoon-worthy.

1x21: The Soldier On the Grave
Brennan doesn't know how to relate to Booth during an exceptionally sensitive case that brings up a lot of bad memories and tension. She confesses to Angela that she just wants him to know that they are on the same side and that she doesn't know what else she can do to help him. Angela tells her that she needs to "be there for him... knowing when a simple touch is enough." After Booth shares something about his past that he's never shared with anyone, she takes Angela's advice.

1x22: The Woman in Limbo
After finding out about her true identity from the man who killed her mother, Brennan's heartbroken. Guess who's there for her? First real show of the notorious comfort/tears hug. Also first show of unnecessary handsy!Booth that neither seem to mind, or ever stop repeating.

Season 2
2x07: The Girl with the Curl
Always the gentleman, Booth seems to love guiding Brennan around. Just another excuse for him to touch her. And he'll always be there when she needs a pick me up. Figuratively and literally.

2x08: The Woman in the Sand
First shot at going undercover together as a couple. Though Brennan will go as far as letting Booth slap her ass, and then returning it, she refuses to let him say that they are engaged. Doesn't really matter, there's enough touching in this episode to last a lifetime. Or just long enough to make it through the wait for season 5.

2x09: Aliens in the Spaceship
Another in the line of the Save-My-Partner-From-A-Killer story lines and first in the Gravedigger arc. Definitely worthy because we all know she wrote her Goodbye Letter to Booth. And because of how close they're sitting in the church. AND because they both knew the other wouldn't give up.

2x10: The Headless Witch in the Woods
Creation of the fantastically sly "Guy Hug." Worthy of an animation.

2x11: Judas on the Pole
Another display of the great and wonderful hurt/comfort hug. Brennan says that she wishes Booth would stop letting her hug him when she cries. We don't share that wish. And another scene worthy of an animation... ZOMG this was so almost a kiss. Booth totally begins to lean in. Oh, and introducing the notorious interrupting!Zach. Also known as the Boy-Who-Ruins-All-"Almosts". Fondly.

2x16: The Boneless Bride in the River
After a few insufferable episodes with Sully acting as Brennan's lovemonkey, we get to celebrate his departure with a great and fluffy (and totally anvil dropping) scene. Who didn't die at "Everything happens eventually... You've just gotta wait for it"??

2x21: Stargazer in the Puddle
As usual, Booth and Brennan are completely oblivious to the fact that Angela is walking down the aisle because they are too wrapped up in each other to notice anything else. We get a very touching hug when Booth tells Brennan about what her father has done for her.

Season 3
3x04: Secret in the Soil
Introducing Dr. Lance Sweets, everybody! Definitely tied in first place (with Angela, of course) for Number 1 BB shipper. From truth exercises, to role playing, to flat out telling them that they are completely denying emotional considerations in their relationship... Sweets has been the catalyst for many great and fluffy BB scenes.
3x05: Mummy in the Maze
Dressed up as a squint and Wonder Woman, Booth and Brennan save a girl from being murdered on Halloween. Seeing Brennan freak out at snakes and squealing like a little girl is priceless. And what it leads to (see below) is even better.

3x07: The Boy in the Time Capsule
In therapy, Booth gets a little handsy while declaring that he's going to "reveal himself to Bones."

3x08: The Knight On the Grid
hero!Booth pulls Brennan out of a wrecked taxi cab, Brennan kisses him on the cheek (first intentional half-kiss!), what a wonderful episode.

3x09: The Santa in the Slush
Blackmail + Puckish Lawyer = Epic First Kiss. I'll throw in BTS animation because it's made of pure win.

3x13: The Verdict in the Story
Brennan declares that Booth is "really very nice"--perfect eye!sex moment followed by not so perfect interruption by, who else, Zach--and according to Booth, shows "a lot of heart" when she makes herself a viable suspect in her father's murder case, getting him cleared of all charges. Also, epic hug.

3x14: The Wannabe in the Weeds
Booth finds the perfect amount of "frivolity" for Brennan to prove to everyone that she can sing Girls Just Wanna Have Fun better than Cindy Lauper. Everyone is floored by the performance. And then some psycho stalker ruins everything and takes a shot at Brennan, but of course hero!Booth takes the bullet for her.

3x15: The Pain in the Heart
Zach turns out to be Gormogon's apprentice, Brennan feels like she failed him, Booth comforts her. Of course.

Season 4
4x02: Yanks in the U.K. (Part 2)
England has made Booth wish that Knighthood existed in the US and decides to implement it when he is "knighted" by Detective Pritchard of Scotland Yard. Oh, and he calls her "Lady Temperence," and she calls him "Sir Seeley."

4x04: Finger in the Nest
Brennan gets emotional when giving a eulogy of sorts to the universe after her and Booth bury Ripley, a dog used as a murder weapon Brennan decided to adopt before finding out that he was put down. We all really know she was talking about Zach ("he did it to please his master... he didn't want to attack a human being"), and she breaks down. Another hurt/comfort hug ensues. *tear* Yay *tear*

4x05: The Perfect Pieces In The Purple Pond
Booth struggles this entire episode after he hurts his back, even going so far as to let Brennan drive. Lots of bickering in this episode: Brennan doesn't like Booth defending her all the time, Booth won't let Brennan fix his back (he eventually gives in), etc. By the end they decide that they're partnership is all about give and take. Made of good stuff.

4x12: Double Trouble in the Panhandle
Undercover episode for this season. Brennan doesn't even fight Booth when they go in as a MARRIED couple who have a knife throwing act. Brennan gets a little too into the whole idea. And as always, Booth gets pretty handsy. Oh, and Brennan rifles around in Booth's pants for his cell phone. Yes, while he is wearing them.

4x13: Fire in the Ice
Ice skating, hand holding, "I think you're made of very, very good stuff," what more could you ask for in the notoriously ubiquitous Final Scene of Fluff.

4x14: Hero in the Hold
Follow up on the Gravedigger arc. Though this time it's Booth who's been captured and it's up to Brennan to save him. Epic hug. Beware.

4x15: Princess & the Pear
After Booth hurts his back again, he gets Brennan to fix it. Needless to say she makes it worse and he's put on bedrest and given a ton of Vicodin (which makes him say that Brennan has "silky black hair, soft skin..." At the end, Brennan realizes that he's been misdiagnosed after going over his x-rays and says it's an easy fix. Booth agrees, and they're ultimately interrupted by a startled Agent Perotta.

4x19: The Science In the Physicist
The Wall of Hotness, blue suits, a death chamber, face touching... just lots of greatness and touching (YAY!) in this episode.

4x20: The Cinderella in the Cardboard
Ok, if you thought the last episode was super handsy, you were wrong. THIS is without a doubt the #1 episode to feature the greatest amount of unnecessary touching (and of course, it's all Booth). It's not like I'm complaining or anything... but really, I mean really, how are these two not a couple yet?? And the Final Scene of Fluff...? Priceless.

4x21: Mayhem On A Cross
Gordon Gordon convinces Booth and Brennan that Sweets is looking for a family of his own, which leads to a very heartbreaking and touching final scene, where both Brennan and Booth share something painful from their pasts. Handkerchief = Pure Love.

4x22: Double Death of the Dearly Departed
Whether you loved the episode or hated it, it is an actual fact that The Final Scene of Fluff is golden and Hodgins speech was hilarious. Either way, we've got touchy!Booth to deal with again.

4x23: The Girl in the Mask
It might considered exact physical touching, but spoon feeding her... that's touching by extension to me. So deal with it.

4x24: Beaver in the Otter
Booth claims that kid's frontal lobes are the size of raisens, so they have to grow them with exercise, and that means doing the wrong thing. Later, Brennan takes what he says to heart, and confesses that she's never intentionally done anything "bad." She says she doesn't want her frontal lobe to be a dried up raisen. So, Booth, being Booth, helps her change that.

4x25: Critic in the Cabernet
GAH! What these two actors can do what their eyes is astounding. The last scenes, in Booth's hospital room and then in the hallway, are amazing. When Booth tells Brennan that she's "a genius. That's good enough for me," I basically took that as, "I love you. I trust you. You're never going to have to prove yourself to me. You're perfect." Enough said.

4x26: The End in the Beginning
Again, whether or not you loved the episode, we still got to see What It Could Be. And while this is technically not Booth and Brennan showing how physical and affectionate they are towards one another, it's a pretty close version of Them. Just a little different.

CONCLUSION: Brennan might be right on a lot of matters, but saying flat out that her and Booth "barely ever even touch" one another, well that's straight up WRONG. Lies, lies, lies. Ladies and gentlemen of the court, the evidence speaks for itself. I think I've proven my point. Thank you, and good night.
